Hilton's New HGV Max Program

If you’re looking into Hilton Grand Vacations Max, you probably know a bit about the HGV brand, or maybe you’re already a member! Either way, you’re here to discover one of the best ways to enhance the value of your Hilton Grand Vacations membership. We’re here to help! Let’s explore what HGV Max is and how it can elevate your Hilton timeshare ownership experience.

About Hilton Grand Vacations

Hilton Grand Vacations is one of the top vacation clubs, renowned for its world-class hospitality and valuable member benefits. Hilton’s flexible points-based timeshare system gives owners the freedom to travel worldwide. Each owner receives a Hilton points allocation tied to their home resort, which can be used to stay at over 170 Hilton Vacation Club locations across the globe. And now, with Hilton’s acquisition of Diamond Resorts, HGV Max members have access to even more destinations. Hilton Grand Vacations is celebrating 30 years in timeshares by expanding the vacation possibilities for HGV owners.

What Is Hilton’s HGV Max Program?

HGV Max is a membership program with benefits that enhance Hilton Grand Vacations ownership. As an HGV Max member, you’ll enjoy access to all resorts in the HGV catalog, including every Diamond Resorts property. This means that HGV Max membership is required for access to all Hilton and Diamond resorts combined.

While access to more resorts is a major perk of HGV Max, there are additional benefits as well, like exclusive events, discounts, and guest certificates. The **HGV Ultimate Access** program offers special events such as concerts with top artists, dinners from renowned chefs, and more.

HGV Max Membership Tiers

HGV Max offers six membership tiers, each with unique benefits. As you accumulate more points, you unlock additional perks, while all members enjoy the core HGV Max benefits. The tiers are Member, Preferred, Preferred+, Premier, Premier+, and Centum+.

How to Become an HGV Max Member

If the HGV Max benefits sound appealing, here’s what you need to know to join. You must purchase a new timeshare directly from Hilton at an authorized sales center, and you’ll automatically receive the program benefits. Current Hilton timeshare owners can also join by purchasing an additional timeshare interest from an authorized center or by paying an initiation fee, currently set at $7,000 on Hilton’s website. The annual HGV Max Club Dues are $299, slightly higher than standard dues, and are separate from the regular maintenance fees.

Currently, purchasing a Hilton timeshare on the resale market doesn’t qualify you for the HGV Max program. However, there are still many advantages to buying a resale timeshare.

Is HGV Max Right for You?

If expanding your resort options and gaining access to exclusive perks appeals to you, HGV Max could be a great fit. Upgrading to HGV Max isn’t required, and you’ll still enjoy your existing owner benefits even if you don’t join. Think of HGV Max as an upgrade option that adds extra value to your Hilton timeshare ownership.

Diamond Resorts and HGV Max

One potential drawback of HGV Max is the limited booking window for Diamond Resorts properties—reservations open six months in advance. This shorter window may mean that high-demand weeks are already booked by Diamond members. Alternatively, HGV members can join **RCI**, the largest vacation exchange network, which also includes Diamond Resorts. RCI members pay a membership fee and can trade Hilton points for stays at thousands of RCI properties worldwide, including all Diamond locations.
